One of the oldest medical sciences in the world is the Siddha System of Medicine, which has been practised for ages in South India, particularly in Tamil Nadu. It places a strong emphasis on good health, which combines a person's physical, mental, social, moral, and spiritual well-being. As a result, it is a way of life as well as a method of treatment. As part of the Ashram's efforts to revive this traditional medical system, which is little known outside of Tamil Nadu but has highly effective, affordable, and quick remedies for several chronic ailments, the 150-bed Santhigiri Siddha Medical College Hospital was established in 2002-03 The therapeutic value of the minerals, metals, and herbs used in Siddha concoctions is extremely high.
