In June 2010, the 795-bed general and acute care hospital Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) began operations. Senior Consultant Cardiologist Dr. Ling Lee Fong practises at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. His medical degree from the University of Melbourne in Australia, a master's in medicine (internal medicine) from the National University of Singapore, and the MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians in the UK were all obtained by him in 2000. In 2008, he finished his training as a cardiology specialist at National University Hospital in Singapore. He received a MOH HMDP award in 2010 and trained in advanced cardiac imaging fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic in the United States, including advanced echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, carotid ultrasound, and vascular scan. Experienced orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Chin Thaim Wai currently holds the position of Senior Consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. Given that he received his training at the Royal London Hospital in 1995 and at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden in 2004, he has a special interest in adult reconstruction or joint replacement surgery. Prior to joining KTPH in 2015, she worked as a consultant urologist and transplant surgeon at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, Ireland, after completing her specialty training in 2007.
