Dr. Patchima Chantaren

Bangkok is home to famous ophthalmologist Dr. Patchima Chantaren. She holds a doctorate in medicine with first-class honours from the Faculty of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, as well as a certificate in clinical observation in dry eye and ocular surface transplantation from Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine (KPUM), Kyoto, Japan. She has acquired knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of dry eyes (TFOD & TFOT). This helped her understand the dynamics of tears and dry eyes better. This significantly aided her in developing her expertise of dry eyes. She has been awarded an ACS-Santen grant to participate in an observation programme at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine's Department of Ophthalmology (KPUM).
