Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao

The KIMS Hospital network in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana was started by Indian businessman and cardiothoracic surgeon Bhaskar Rao Bollineni. Rangaraya Medical College in Kakinada and Madras Medical College in Chennai are where Bhaskar Rao Bollineni received his medical training. He founded the KIMS Group of hospitals with the first hospital located in Nellore after working as a physician in the Medwin Hospitals and Mahavir Trust Hospital. The chain now operates 9 hospitals in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Over 30,000 procedures have been carried out by him as a surgeon. Bhaskar Rao had a significant role in the Rajiv Gandhi Aarogyasri Scheme, which was established in 2007 in united Andhra Pradesh to provide healthcare to the less fortunate sectors of society. He was selected as one of the 2019 EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award finalists. Rajyasree is the wife of Bhaskar Rao, and the couple has two kids who work for the KIMS Group of Hospitals.
