Package Description
ORBIT AND OCULOPLASTY Botulinum injection for blepherospasm
A protein called botulinum toxin type A causes muscular weakness. When injected into a particular muscle, it relaxes the surrounding region. Botulinum toxin injections, such as blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm, are effective treatments for a variety of muscular spasms.
Botox is injected into numerous injection sites in the eye and brow to target nerves and muscles, and it can help people with blepharospasm minimise symptoms including blinking and eye discomfort.
Botulinum (Botox) injections treat about seven out of ten persons with blepharospasm. Although the injections are not usually unpleasant, you may feel some discomfort. This shouldn't take more than a few seconds.
Disease Overview:
Loss of Eye
Visual impairment, often known as vision impairment or vision loss, is a loss of eyesight to the point that it presents issues that are not remedied by traditional methods such as spectacles. Some also include those who are unable to see well due to a lack of access to glasses or contact lenses.
Disease Signs and Symptoms:
- Double vision is a common occurrence.
- Vision is hazy.
- bright flashes.
- Seeing "spider webs" or floaters
- Around lights, seeing halos or rainbows.
- Seeing what appears to be a curtain falling over one eye.
- A abrupt loss of eyesight.
- Light sensitivity and glare appear suddenly.
Disease Causes:
Eye trauma, obstruction of blood flow to or from the retina (retinal artery occlusion or retinal vein occlusion), and pushing of the retina away from its normal location at the back of the eye are all common causes of rapid vision loss (retinal detachment).
Disease Diagnosis:
A doctor may do an eye examination to identify vision loss. To test the person's eyesight, they may flash a light in their eyes or ask them to read letters on a chart. A neurological examination to examine the function of the eyes and brain may be part of the diagnosis.
Disease Treatment:
Without some type of vision correction, you will lose your ability to see well. Eyeglasses, contact lenses, permanent artificial lenses, and surgical correction of the eye are all options for vision correction. Vision loss can occur gradually (over time) or suddenly (all at once).
