DIAGNOSTICS Both Eye Indirect Ophthalmoscopy:
Ophthalmoscopy (Indirect) A hand-held lens and a beam of light are used to examine the interior of the back of the eye. Indirect ophthalmoscopy provides a better image of the interior of the eye than an ophthalmoscope examination.
In indirect ophthalmoscopy, the ophthalmoscopy lens' goal is to divert divergent pencils of light emanating from the patient's pupil into the observer's eye. The lens concentrates parallel rays within each pencil into an inverted aerial view of the patient's fundus as a result of this.
With a large field of vision and stereoscopic imaging, BIO is one of the methods for seeing the retina. By adjusting the BIO device, lens, and providing scleral depression, BIO enables for dynamic surveillance of the retina.Because the fundus is examined through a hand-held condensing lens, the procedure is "indirect."
