ACDF surgery normally takes 1 to 2 hours, but it can take up to 3 hours or more.

Cervical herniated disc

The cervical herniated disc is more commonly referred to as a "slipped disc." The disc can split apart, allowing the fluid inside to push against the surrounding nerves in the neck, even if it doesn't actually slide.
