BIOGRAPHY
The National Neuroscience Institute's Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Medical Affairs & Quality Management) is Professor Lo Yew Long. In 1988, he received his degree from the National University of Singapore. He began working in the neurology department at Singapore General Hospital in 1994 and finished his postgraduate fellowship in clinical neurophysiology there in 1998. Since 1999, he has been a fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine. Currently, he holds the positions of Head and Senior Consultant Neurologist at the National Neuroscience Institute (SGH Campus), Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, and Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore's Faculty of Medicine.
Clinical Neurophysiology is a field in which Professor Lo is involved. In addition to serving as the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology's representative, he was the founding president of the Clinical Neurophysiology Society (Singapore). In 2005, 2015, and 2010, he was invited to speak at the World Congress of Neurology, the European Congress of Clinical Neurophysiology, and the International Congress of Clinical Neurophysiology. He received the Galloway Lectureship in 2007 for his research on cervical myelopathy.
