BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Nayak is the Director of the Surgical Oncology Department at Fortis Hospital on Bannerghatta Road. Dr. Sandeep Nayak, a pioneer in Laparoscopic Surgery for Cancer Treatment, is one of the most recognised specialists in Surgical Oncology, with over 20 years of expertise in open Laparoscopic and Robotic Cancer Surgeries. Dr. Nayak's aim as a Surgical Oncologist is to improve Cancer Care in India by raising awareness of the illness and providing information on cancer prevention and management. He has over 100 Laprascopic procedures under his belt. He is a pioneer in advanced laparoscopic cancer surgery, including MIND (Minimally Invasive Neck Dissection) for cancer of the mouth and VEIL (Video Endoscopic Inguinal Lymphadenectomy) for groyne nodes. Dr. Nayak also pioneered the Robotic Assisted Breast-Axillo Insufflated Thyroidectomy (RABIT) - Scarless Thyroid Surgery in India. VATS and robotic surgery for lung cancer, HIPEC and PIPAC for stage 4 colon and ovarian malignancies  and peritoneal cancers
