Dr. Amit Y. Ghanekar received his M.B.B.S. from the Lokmanya Tilak Medical College and Sion Hospital, then went on to earn his M.D. in internal medicine from the B.J. Medical College and Sassoon Hospital in Pune, as well as his D.N.B. in medical oncology from the Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, an elite cancer care centre in India. From P.AK.H, Mumbai, a committed pioneer institute, he also received a Fellowship in Haemato-oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant. He has a high aptitude for interpersonal interactions, a successful academic career, and a pragmatic, scientific approach to treating patients. Always ready for insightful comments and constructive, evidence-based debates with the only goal of improving patient care. He has also completed more than 5000 surgeries in the treatment of more than 5000 blood diseases, including thrombocytopenia, polycythemia, leukaemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, refractory anaemia, myeloproliferative disorders, and aplastic anaemia. He has also participated in several successful bone marrow and stem cell transplants for uncommon and immunological illnesses, as well as for Myeloma, lymphoma, leukaemia, Thalassemia, and other diseases.
