The National University of Singapore is where adjunct associate professor Low Shiong Wen earned his bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery (NUS). After completing postgraduate training in general surgery, he went on to earn the following postgraduate credentials in general surgery: Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) from the United Kingdom in 2007 and Masters in Medicine, M.Med(Surgery) in 2008.
